FCL and LCL sea freight with experts

Sea freight solutions for import and export.

The international sea freight is one of the pillars of global trade and the most efficient option for shipping large volumes of goods. At Transped, we offer comprehensive sea freight solutions for import, export, and triangular operations, tailored to the needs of companies in any sector and of any size.

With more than 40 years of experience and agreements with the leading shipping lines, we guarantee a reliable, flexible, and competitive service, both in full container load (FCL) and sea consolidation (LCL). We use advanced logistics management tools to optimize transit times and reduce operating costs.

Not all products are stored and distributed in the same way. Depending on the nature of the goods and the logistics strategy, we use different storage flow methods.

Here are the most important ones:

FCL Full container load sea freight

FCL (Full Container Load) sea freight is the ideal solution when goods fill an entire container or require exclusive control throughout the journey. At Transped we manage efficient routes and ensure space availability thanks to our cargo agreements with international shipping lines.

Available FCL container types:

  • Dry Van (dry container): 20’, 40’ and 40’ HC

  • Reefer (refrigerated container): 20’ RF, 40’ RF and 40’ HRF

  • Open Top: 20’ OT and 40’ OT

  • Flat Rack: 20’ FR and 40’ FR

  • Isotanks

  • Flexitank

Sea freight with Flexitank

Transped is an official Flexitank installer, an optimal solution for sea transport of non-hazardous bulk liquids. We keep our own stock in Valencia, Barcelona, and Algeciras, which enables agility and full control of the service.

Our Flexitanks comply with the main international standards: ISO 9001/2000, FDA (U.S. and Europe), CIQ (China), BHA (Germany) and TÜV certification. ISO9001/2008, CRCC Kosher, Halal, MTU, COA, Russian Railways, SGS certificates.

We also offer complementary services such as installing thermal blankets (Embatuff) and electric blankets, essential for temperature-sensitive goods during sea transport.

LCL Less-than-container-load sea freight

LCL (Less Than Container Load) sea freight is the best option when cargo volume doesn’t fill an entire container. At Transped we offer sea consolidation services with competitive rates and optimized transit times.

We handle the entire logistics operation:

  • Cargo consolidation

  • Storage

  • Documentation management and customs procedures

  • Coordination of final delivery

Our own sea consolidation service from China

As a differentiator, Transped operates its own weekly import sea consolidation service from China, with regular departures from Shenzhen, Ningbo, and Shanghai to Spain.

This service allows us to offer:

  • Greater control of the cargo.

  • Accurate information at every stage of transport.

  • More competitive freight rates for our customers.

Short Distance Short Sea Shipping

Short Sea Shipping (SSS) is an efficient solution for moving goods between nearby ports or within the same region—especially on European and Mediterranean routes. This mode acts as an alternative or complement to road transport, optimizing costs and reducing environmental impact.

At Transped, we offer short sea services for import and export operations on intra-European routes and to/from North Africa, integrating maritime transport with road solutions for an intermodal door-to-door service.
